The Archdiocese has cancelled all public worship services until further notice. The clergy and a few Altar servers and choir members will still be praying the following services:
Friday evenings (7pm) Akathist Hymn to the Mother of God,
Sunday mornings Matins (9:00 am) and Divine Liturgy (10:00 am),
Vesperal Divine Liturgy for the Annunciation (6:30 pm) on Wednesday, March 25th
The Presanctified Holy Mysteries along with the Holy Unction will be brought to the homes of the faithful who request it. Please, I encourage everyone who would like to receive the Holy Mysteries in their home to contact Fr. Michael.
All of the faithful are encouraged to pray at home. The services may be read individually or as a family, with all of the parts assigned to the Priest or Deacon replaced with “Lord have mercy” (3X). All services may be found on the Archdiocese website under “liturgics”.
My Beloved Ones, please know that you are all in my heart and that I am praying for you. Let us use this time of “social distancing” to draw nearer to God and one another. I encourage everyone to reach out to one another by phone, especially to those who may not have family nearby to support them. If anyone is experiencing financial difficulty or is having trouble getting the necessities of life, please contact me.
