Please join us on Oct. 17th at 10 am in the Church hall for a talk by our Guest Speaker, Dr. Michael Johnson, titled “Blessings, Beatitudes, and Liturgical practices in the Second Temple period”. The talk with cover material culture, manuscripts, and evidence of ritual spaces of Second Temple period Judaism in relation to Christ and the early Church. Dr Michael Johnson is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Jewish Philosophy and Talmud at Tel Aviv University. His interests include the material reconstruction of Dead Sea Scrolls, digital tools and approaches for reconstructing and studying ancient manuscripts, genre theory, and digital humanities.
